Time

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;

A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

The Last Day on Earth

Look down the ground below is crumbling
Look up the stars are all exploding

It’s the last day on earth
In my dreams, in my dreams
It’s the end of the world
And you’ve come back to me
In my dreams

Between the dust and the debris
There’s a light surrounding you and me

It’s the last day on earth
In my dreams, in my dreams
It’s the end of the world
And you’ve come back to me
In my dreams

And you hold me closer than I,
can ever remember being held
I’m not afraid to sleep now,
if we can stay like this until

It’s the last day on earth
In my dreams, in my dreams
It’s the end of the world
And you’ve come back to me

In my head I replay our conversations
Over and over til they feel like hallucinations
You know me? I love to lose my mind
And every time anybody speaks your name
I still feel the same
I ache, I ache, I ache inside

I ache, I ache, I ache inside

judging

“Do not judge”, says the one who hears a one-sided story and has an out-of-whack moral compass. How about practising what you preach as you are quick to judge as well?

Prov 16:2

All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.

Ps 37:4-9

Delight yourself in the Lord; and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:

He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret – it leads only to evil.

For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

wow.

You know sometimes when you’re working towards something but you just don’t know how you are going – in fact, you think you are a complete failure because you think you’re not going anywhere,

AND THEN you hear an affirming word from someone and it totally gives you some perspective and optimism to keep going?

YUP. Bring on the WOW. It’s working 🙂

stickies on my wall

Lately I’ve been sorting and sifting my thoughts..

OC marked the beginning of something new – I think I was more like waiting for it to be my turning point, but silly me could have just turned around way before. But it was good, coz it gave me the jumpstart I needed. And then some.

Anyway, since I’ve taken a liking for some structure and am quite a visual person, I’ve been sticking quotes, verses, reminders, goals…on my wall beside my bed. Helps me GO FOR IT! And so far it’s been helping a lot. 🙂

And I’ve been writing with my Sharpie – I find it just so exhilarating! Maybe it’s coz it’s permanent..and stable.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade hey?

I thank God that I am still able to speak into people’s lives.

Oh how He loves

4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. 5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. 6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. 7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

God’s love covers all.

The victory has been shouted.
